Many are from collectors that want to know what their 1989 Donruss Ken Griffey is worth or that they found a hoard of 1987 Topps in the basement and want to know if it will pay off the college loans. I was surprised again last week when a successful self-employed businessman from suburban Philadelphia called us about buying his card collection. I presumed I’d be looking at a group of old baseball and football cards, but what he was offering was an overwhelming collection of vintage hockey sets and cards.
