There’s nothing quite like the allure of an old unopened pack.  There’s the obvious dilemma... to rip or not to rip?  There’s the obvious question…what’s inside?  And there’s the ‘wow’ factor as in “I can’t believe this has never been opened.” When it comes to vintage rack packs, you can multiply those questions by three because that’s really what it is -three packs of cards in one big, long package.  We’re just back from the National Sports Collectors Convention with one of the coolest packs football card collectors will ever see - a 1968 Topps rack pack with Joe Namath

1919 W514 #15 Shoeless Joe Jackson White Sox Black Sox SGC 80There isn't a baseball fan alive who wouldn’t love to own one of the cards featured in our eBay listings this week.  We have a W514 Joe Jackson card, graded SGC 80, dating from the era when the legend of this great ballplayer was born, partly because of his talent and partly because of the Black Sox scandal of 1919—a story that dominated the sports headlines at the very time that this card was being distributed.  Better yet, the one we have

1910 M116 Sporting Life Christy Mathewson Blue Background New York SGC 60Five years after his legendary performance in the 1905 World Series in which he pitched three shutouts, a feat that’s never been matched, Christy Mathewson appeared in a series of cards issued by The Sporting Life. A rival to The Sporting News, the paper offered readers the chance to trade four pennies for a set of 12 of these cards, catalogued as the 1910 M116 series.  Matty was clearly one of the prizes as the first of 24 mini sets
